Crisis in Nigeria – Let the poor breathe: interview with Dimeji Macaulay

We publish the interview of comrade Dimeji Macaulay in the podcast of Socialist News and Views. The description of the interview reads:

In this special we speak with Dimeji Macaulay in Nigeria. Macaulay is a socialist (Revolutionary Socialist Movement-RSM), trade union activist and member of the Workers and Youth Solidarity Network (WYSN). In this interview we talk about a very successful demonstration in Nigeria against the Federal Government in the face of the crisis of hyperinflation caused by the devaluation of the Nigerian currency and the removal by the government of fuel subsidies. The demonstration was mobilized by the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) of Nigeria. We also briefly discuss the recent coup in the neighboring country of Niger.
