The continuation of the strike and protest gathering of the Ahvaz National Steel Group workers for the third day in a row
Today, Monday, 25 December 2023, the workers of the Ahvaz National Steel Group went on strike for the third day in a row, protesting against the ignoring of their demands and several workmates being the barred entry [to the plant].
Removing the restrictions on the entry of suspended workers into the company and the return to work of previously fired workmates, equating wages to the workers of neighbouring steel companies, full and immediate implementation of the job classification [schedule], dismissal of the corrupt CEO and expropriation of the National Bank, and workers’ participation in corporate management are among the workers’ declared demands.
