The following is a short message published on the Telegram Channel of the Khuzestan Vanguard Socialist Workers’ Cell on May 12th.

Ayoub Ghaibipour’s serious physical condition after his hunger strike in Ahvaz’s Shaiban jail

Ayoub Ghaibipour, one of the detainees of the revolution, who is imprisoned in Ahvaz’s Shaiban prison, went on a hunger strike to protest against his transfer back to a solitary cell of the detention centre of the Terrorist Intelligence and Interrogation Organisation. As a result, his physical condition is reported to be critical.

This prisoner, who has been detained for six months, was returned to the prison after a week, but following the hunger strike, he suffered acute stomach and digestive problems and was denied medical treatment.

According to some reports, the court has condemned Mr Ghaibipour to a long prison sentence.

Ayoub Ghaibipour – 28 years old and son of Ahmad and a resident of Ahvaz – was arrested on November 13th 2022 by mercenaries of the system without a warrant.
